In my line of work I get asked a lot of questions, such as “Why are you never around on your personal blog?”, “Did you actually read back what you’ve just written?”, “Where’s the money you owe me?” and “Why can’t you be funnier?”.
I can answer the first question fairly easily. (The other three are more tricky).
Since October 2008, I’ve had the pleasure and honour of being part of the team over at WebUrbanist, with a six-month gap from February to August ’09 while I went away and did other things, including this. And on Tuesday, I submitted my twenty-sixth and final article.
Eighteen collections of furniture and furnishings. Five assortments of urban wonders. A small orchestra of weird musical instruments, and a bunch of videogames that modern science says might (that’s not legally binding, adds my lawyer) help you be a better human being. All skimmed from the cream of tech/gadget & design blogging on the web, including Yanko Design, CribCandy, Design Boom, Gizmodo, Tech Crunch, Inhabitat and many more.
A lot of alliteration, a punnet of appalling puns. Three hundred and eighty-three items, briefly mentioned, briefly boggling the mind, briefly reminding that the world is delightfully barmier than we’re taught it should be.
